Duties
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure timely service and presentation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, equipment, and work areas through regular cleaning and sanitizing
- Support food handling procedures in accordance with food safety regulations to prevent contamination
- Handle manual lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury
- Support food running and serving duties during busy periods to enhance guest satisfaction
- Manage in-person customer service interactions with guests, addressing their needs courteously and professionally
- Assist in inventory management by organizing supplies and restocking as needed
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and kitchen operations to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with knowledge of kitchen operations
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Experience with banquet service or catering events is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail
