Duties

• Assist in meal preparation and cooking according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations.
• Support the catering team by preparing food items for events and special occasions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Participate in training sessions related to food safety and kitchen operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dietary department, restaurant, or catering environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the food industry.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others as needed.
• Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food handling procedures is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
