Job Title: Traveling Structural Steel Erection Superintendent

Location: Remote/Travel; Southeast/East Coast

Compensation: $38.00 - $44.00 per hour OT paid for hours worked over 40 weekly (averages 15 hours of OT weekly)

Company Overview:

Tiello has partnered with a well-established Structural Steel Erector on their search for a Traveling Superintendent who has experience managing large-scale structural steel erection projects.

Role Summary:

As a Superintendent, you will manage and control assigned projects, including overseeing field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality of work, and sub-contractor and supplier coordination. You will work in conjunction with the project manager to lead the project team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Completion of OSHA 10 or 30 Hours for the construction industry
• Safety standards knowledge and enforcement
• Ability to remain calm, focused and effective under time pressure situations
• Self-starter with the ability to set goals and tasks with strong leadership skills
• Ability to read blueprints
• Possess an understanding of building plans and specifications
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook) a plus
• Adaptability/Flexibility
• Good judgment and decision-making skills
• Work well under stress
• Ability to handle situations involving sensitive and confidential company information
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously, and consistently meet deadlines
• Ability to perform duties independently, as well as others
• Ability to manage people of all ethnic and educational backgrounds
• First Aid and CPR Certification a Plus

Qualifications / Requirements:

• At least 5 years of Superintendent experience within the structural steel erection industry
• Strong understanding of erection processes, shop workflow, and project lifecycle
• Working knowledge of TEKLA EPM software
• Blue Beam/MS Office Products
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent industry experience
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.
