Tiello is currently partnered with a commercial construction company in Fayetteville, GA in their search for a Civil Project Manager.
Job Overview
The Project Manager will oversee commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and engineering standards.
This role blends project management with civil engineering expertise, including design oversight, technical review, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can coordinate stakeholders while managing both field operations and engineering deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction projects (schedule, budget, quality, and compliance)
- Provide technical guidance and support to field teams and stakeholders
- Plan and manage production schedules; deliver weekly updates
- Coordinate jobsite activities, inspections, meetings, and material deliveries
- Partner closely with Superintendents on execution and field operations
- Track labor, materials, and performance against project estimates
- Identify and mitigate project risks, including design and engineering challenges
- Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and engineers of record
- Lead production meetings, design reviews, and project handoffs
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and engineering records
- Support submittals, RFIs, and change orders in alignment with project scope
- Assist with procurement, purchase orders, and logistics coordination
- Gather field data for estimating and project planning
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of field personnel
- Ensure compliance with certifications, safety standards, and company processes
- Monitor inventory of tools, materials, and safety equipment
- Contribute to SOP development and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required)
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
- 3 years of experience managing commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of civil design, construction methods, and applicable codes
- Willingness to participate in field training with crews
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Willingness to travel overnight 25–30% as needed
