Job Title: Controller (Construction / Structural Steel)
Location: Stuart, FL
Compensation: $80,000-$100,000

Company Overview:
Tiello has partnered with a growing AISC Certified Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metals Fabricator in the South Florida region on their search for a Controller. This organization supports a range of commercial and industrial projects and is looking to bring on a key financial leader to support continued growth and operational stability.
Role Summary:
The Controller will oversee the company’s financial operations, reporting directly to ownership. This individual will be responsible for managing accounting processes, financial reporting, and job cost tracking, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all financial functions. The ideal candidate will have experience within construction environments and be highly proficient in Viewpoint, with the ability to step in and take ownership of the role quickly.

Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metals – Commercial and Industrial Projects
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger
- Manage financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
- Maintain and track job costing, WIP schedules, and project financial performance
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with company financial procedures and standards
- Work closely with ownership to provide financial insights and support business decisions
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure proper cost tracking and reporting
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems, specifically Viewpoint
- Assist with audits and ensure proper documentation and financial controls
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Experience in a Controller or senior accounting role within construction environments
- Proficiency with Viewpoint (required)
- Strong understanding of job costing and construction financials
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and ability to work well with others
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
