Tide Property Management is looking for an experienced handyman to handle repairs and rental turnover work across the Charleston area. We need someone who takes pride in their work, treats residents respectfully, and gives us a clear picture of what needs fixing and what it will cost.
The arrangement
This is an opportunity with work offered as needs arise. Scope, pricing, and timing will be agreed upon for accepted jobs. You’ll provide your own tools and transportation and may serve other clients.
We’re looking to build a long-term relationship with a dependable contractor we can call again.
Compensation:
$75,000
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and complete general repairs at rental homes and apartments.
Handle drywall patching, paint touch-ups, minor carpentry, door adjustments, hardware replacement, and other handyman repairs.
Complete turnover punch lists to get properties ready for new residents.
Identify when a repair needs a licensed trade professional or a larger scope of work.
Provide clear estimates and get approval before completing additional work.
Coordinate property access with residents and our management team.
Submit before-and-after photos, completion notes, and itemized invoices.
Keep work areas clean and flag issues that could cause further damage.
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience in residential maintenance, handyman services, or remodeling.
Ability to diagnose problems and deliver durable, quality repairs.
Reliable communication and follow-through. If something changes, let us know.
Your own tools, reliable transportation, and a smartphone.
Experience working in occupied homes professionally and respectfully.
Appropriate insurance and any licenses required for the work you perform.
Comfort receiving work orders and submitting updates electronically.
