Thunder Valley Casino is offering FREE Poker Dealer Training! Training begins June 3rd through June 28th. Classes will be held Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
All Table Games Dealer positions will be part time. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. The position requires availability to work all days of the week, including weekends and all holidays. Shifts will be either swing or graveyard shift, there are no day time shifts available through the school. Thunder Valley Casino is a smoking environment. Applicants must be able to work in a smoking environment.
Essential Functions
To successfully complete this Training, the candidate must:
* Pass a final written test to establish they have acquired a working knowledge of poker.
* Demonstrate the ability to quickly identify poker hands, cut chips and understand betting structures.
* Be able to pass a gaming audition.
* Represent Thunder Valley's Four Diamond Service Standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified Candidates MUST already possess a solid knowledge of Poker (Hold'em, Omaha Hi/Lo, Razz, Seven Card Stud and Eight or Better "Stud Hi/Lo").
Excellent verbal communication skills required. Dealer School Candidates should not have any previous casino dealing experience.
