Unit Information

This is a busy unit specializing in occupational therapy with a focus on rehabilitation. The unit consists of 41 beds and operates with an estimated daily therapy staff of 15 to 20 professionals across various disciplines, including Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).

Wichita, KS

• Patient Ratios: Providers may carry up to a 6-hour treatment load during an 8-hour shift.


• Type of Equipment: Familiarity with modalities such as ESTIM, patient lifts, Activities of Daily Living (ADL) equipment, gym equipment, and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) is required.


• EMR: Meditech

• Minimum Requirements:
  
  
  
  • At least 6 months of current acute care occupational therapy experience
  
  
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  
  
  • Active Kansas licensure
  
  
  
  


• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  
  
  • Experience in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting
  
  
  • Lymphedema certification
  
  
  • Neuro certification or experience
  
  
  
  

• Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients


• Facilitate patient engagement in ADLs and IADLs


• Monitor and track treatment time and patient charges to meet the required therapy time of 3 hours per day

The ideal candidate will be a team player who is flexible with scheduling and adaptable to varying start and stop times for treatment sessions. A hands-on clinician approach to patient treatment is essential.

This is a brand-new, state-of-the-art, 41-bed inpatient facility located in the region. It features advanced technology, including a full IADL kitchen, enhancing the treatment environment for both clinicians and patients.
