Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology Infusion Center
Location: Glens Falls, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in Outpatient Oncology and Infusion Therapy to join a leading 410-bed not-for-profit community hospital in beautiful Glens Falls, New York. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive outpatient infusion center providing specialized treatments in a patient-focused environment.
Schedule
- Day Shift
- 8-hour shifts
Hours vary between:
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekends
- No on-call requirements
What You'll Do
Provide expert nursing care for patients receiving a wide variety of infusion therapies, including:
- Chemotherapy and specialty medication infusions
- Blood and blood product transfusions
- IV antibiotics, antifungals, steroids, hydration, and IVIG
- Iron infusions
- PICC line placement and central venous access device maintenance
- Port, catheter, and fistula management
- Therapeutic phlebotomies
- Patient education for self-administered medications
- Care of implanted infusion pumps and intrathecal devices
You'll administer treatments for patients with oncology, autoimmune diseases, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, osteoporosis, anemia, asthma, and other chronic conditions while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active New York Registered Nurse License
- Minimum 2 years of current outpatient oncology and infusion experience
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) Certification
- Peripheral IV insertion experience
- Experience with ports, fistulas, and central venous catheters
- EPIC EMR experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- IV Certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Previous travel assignment experience
Required Certifications
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification
- OCN Certification
Important Pre-Employment Requirement
Candidates must be able to complete the facility's required 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
