Registered Nurse (RN) – MedSurg/Telemetry - Phoenix, AZ
Location: Phoenix, AZ
13-Week Travel Contract
Night Shift | 36 Hours/Week
Assignment Details
- Start Date: July 27, 2026
- Duration: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to MedSurg/Telemetry patients.
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and recognize dysrhythmias.
- Perform Foley catheter insertions and central line dressing changes using sterile technique.
- Care for patients with medical conditions and secondary behavioral health diagnoses.
- Float to MedSurg units and ED psych holds as needed.
- Document patient care accurately in Cerner EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.
Requirements
- Active RN License (AZ or Compact)
- Minimum 2 years of recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Current BLS & ACLS certifications
- Must pass a Dysrhythmia Exam (2 attempts allowed)
- Comfortable caring for patients with behavioral health needs (psych experience preferred)
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Reliable transportation required
