Position Summary:
- Lead a team of FPGA engineers developing firmware for secure tactical communication products.
- Manage FPGA development projects, including staffing, schedules, budgets, and technical execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop FPGA-based solutions for wireless communication systems.
- Oversee team performance, career development, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of FPGA engineers.
- Set performance goals, development plans, and training objectives for team members.
- Oversee timecard approvals and supervisory responsibilities.
- Drive project execution to meet technical, schedule, and cost objectives.
- Develop FPGA project schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates.
- Manage budgets and timelines for firmware development programs.
- Maintain and improve FPGA development processes and methodologies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, develop, and verify FPGA solutions.
- Support delivery of embedded FPGA firmware for communication products.
- Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence within the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another STEM discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience developing and verifying FPGA/ASIC-based embedded systems.
- Demonstrated project leadership and technical management experience.
- Strong understanding of FPGA/ASIC development and verification processes.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
