Thorpe Design, Inc. is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager to join our Fire Alarm Division. This role requires hands-on project management experience in fire alarm systems, including familiarity with applicable codes such as NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code), NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), and other relevant life‑safety standards. Prior industry experience is required.

Position Overview
The Fire Alarm Project Manager oversees all aspects of fire alarm project delivery from start to finish. Responsibilities include:
- Managing project coordination and execution in compliance with NFPA 72, NFPA 70, local AHJ requirements, and project specifications.
- Collaborating closely with field technicians, electricians, and superintendents to ensure schedules, installation quality, and testing milestones are met.
- Managing the entire project lifecycle:
design review, submittals, permits, material procurement, installation oversight, programming/testing coordination, inspections, and final turnover.
- Attending project meetings, responding to RFIs, handling work orders and purchase orders, and verifying accurate material takeoffs.
- Monitoring job progress, tracking project profitability, preparing progress updates, coordinating required inspections, and managing billing.
Preparing and generating project estimates as needed, ensuring accurate scope definition, competitive pricing, and alignment with project requirements.
Success in this role requires strong communication, technical understanding of fire alarm systems, and the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple teams and job sites.
