Job Overview
We are a behavioral health treatment provider specializing in mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders across detox, residential, and outpatient levels of care. Our approach is rooted in clinical excellence, structured therapeutic environments, and individualized treatment that supports long-term recovery, psychiatric stabilization, and whole-person wellness.
We are seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide medical and psychiatric care across our behavioral health continuum. This role is highly integrated into the clinical team and is responsible for supporting psychiatric stability, medical oversight, and continuity of care for individuals in treatment.
The Nurse Practitioner will practice across multiple facilities located in Peachtree Corners, Dunwoody, Johns Creek, and East Cobb, working collaboratively with clinical leadership, nursing, and admissions to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
This position requires a strong foundation in mental health treatment, with the ability to manage co-occurring medical conditions within a family practice scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric and medical evaluations across all levels of care
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric and routine medical medications
- Monitor client stability, including mental health symptoms and medical conditions
- Address acute and chronic health concerns within scope of practice
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support coordinated care
- Respond to client needs and changes in condition in a timely manner
- Complete accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards
What We’re Looking For
- Strong clinical background in mental health and co-occurring substance use treatment
- Ability to balance psychiatric care with general medical management
- Confidence practicing independently while remaining highly collaborative
- Flexibility to travel between multiple locations as needed
Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Georgia
- Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) required
- DEA license with prescriptive authority
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience in behavioral health settings (detox, residential, or outpatient) strongly preferred. Experience in family practice, urgent care, or primary care preferred
