What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Thorough-Staff LLC?
The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset. The right individual will have experience with inventory and cost accounting.
Responsibilities
- Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
- Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
- Research and analyze expense variances for company management
- Manage and maintain cost accounting systems, including standard costing, job costing, or process costing methodologies
- Analyze inventory valuation
- Oversee monthly inventory close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies for inventory and cost accounting
Qualifications
- 4 years of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
- CPA is a plus.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
