The Job
The Senior Accountant will support the organization by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of accounting processes, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for contributing to the organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Prepare and analyze monthly cost reports, preparation of cost forecasts and budget, financial analysis, and cost audits.
- Assist in preparing monthly reporting package including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and other reports
- Review and analyze monthly variances for actual costs of sales, budgets, sales and operations planning forecasts in collaboration with business partners.
- Perform general cost accounting and compare budgets with actual expenses.
- Identify opportunities for improving internal accounting processes.
- Support implementation of new accounting software or system upgrades.
Qualifications
- 7 of years of related work experience required and with manufacturing environment business experience
- Strong work ethic focused on meeting deadlines
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues. Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving, project management.
- Oracle or other Enterprise systems experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related discipline; CPA
