WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Industrial Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for proactive outbound sales activity and lead generation in support of Cat Rentals and Power Systems products and services. This role serves as a front-line growth driver by identifying opportunities, qualifying prospects, nurturing leads, and supporting field sales teams across all industrial market segments. The position emphasizes high-volume outbound calling, consultative selling, and disciplined CRM execution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute daily outbound call campaigns to targeted industrial accounts to generate new opportunities for rentals, power generation, and related services
Identify customer needs related to aerial lifts, forklifts, light towers, carry deck cranes, floor scrubbers, welders, generators, air compressors, and HVAC/temperature control systems
Qualify inbound and outbound leads and route sales-ready opportunities to the appropriate outside sales or rental representatives
Assist customers with basic application questions and coordinate technical support or field follow-up as needed
Accurately document all call activity, opportunities, and next steps in the CRM system
Maintain lead pipelines, follow-up schedules, and account notes to ensure consistent coverage
Support marketing campaigns, customer lists, and targeted calling initiatives in coordination with Rental and Sales teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma required, associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a technical field preferred
Strong phone presence with the ability to conduct high-volume outbound call activity
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to learn technical product applications and translate them into customer value
Working knowledge of industrial, construction, facilities, and contractor markets to support consultative conversations is a plus
