Responsibilities:
- Set up event venues per client specifications, arranging furniture, decor, and equipment.
- Serve food and drinks in accordance with portion, presentation, and quality guidelines, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Engage with guests, providing menu information, addressing inquiries, and accommodating special requests for a positive dining experience.
- Maintain event cleanliness by clearing tables, cleaning utensils, and resetting for subsequent event phases.
- Assist in post-event cleanup, returning the venue to its original state as directed by the event organizer or catering manager.
- Requires 50–55 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as business needs dictate
- Previous catering or event planning experience.
- Leadership experience with effective team management.
- Strong customer service skills to meet client expectations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts
- Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40–50 pounds
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Tolerance for exposure to heat, steam, noise, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to operate standard restaurant equipment safely
- Quick response to operational needs and emergency situations
- Ability to work in diverse environments, including kitchens, event venues, outdoors, and storage areas, with exposure to varying temperatures.
- Adequate vision, hearing, and communication skills to effectively coordinate with staff, clients, and vendors.
- Must be able to drive company or personal vehicle for off-site catering, client visits, and meetings; valid driver’s license required.
