T/C Arms is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Buyer to join our growing supply chain team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our manufacturing operations have the materials, components, and services needed to build world-class firearms. You'll work closely with Engineering, Planning, Production, Inventory Control, and key suppliers to secure the right products at the right price while maintaining exceptional quality and delivery performance.

Responsibilities
- Purchase raw materials, machined components, production supplies, tooling, and services to support manufacturing operations.
- Issue and manage purchase orders through the company's ERP system.
- Monitor supplier performance for quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and long-term supply agreements.
- Expedite critical orders and resolve supplier shortages or delivery issues before they impact production.
- Partner with Engineering on new product launches, sourcing strategies, and supplier development.
- Work with Planning and Production to maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations, alternate sourcing, and process improvements.
- Analyze supplier quotes and recommend sourcing decisions based on total cost, quality, and risk.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, pricing, and lead times within the ERP system.
- Support inventory accuracy and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
- Stay informed on market trends, material availability, and supply chain risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience purchasing manufactured components, metals, tooling, or industrial products preferred.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite experience is highly preferred).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze purchasing and inventory data.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in firearms, aerospace, defense, automotive, or precision manufacturing.
- Knowledge of inventory planning, MRP, and lean manufacturing principles.
- APICS/ASCM, ISM, or other procurement certifications are a plus.
