Job Description:

The Quality Representative is an integral part of daily execution of our final customer acceptance of flight hardware and the site tool and equipment calibration system. The role will be responsible for accurate and controlled execution of customer acceptance/sell off processes, tool calibration to the standards and transactions that support products from assembly, final inspection and to product shipments. This role serves as primary point of contact between Production, Government Quality Representatives, and the Shipping Dock as a source of information on final product acceptance.

This role is key between Quality and Operations to ensure:

On time release of units to shipping as well as maintaining correct records in the business systems assigned.

On time and control over the tools and equipment in our calibration system used for product verifications.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a track record of being organized, process driven, with speed and accuracy to ensure quality requirements and customer schedules are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine evaluations, process monitors, and test protocols on raw materials, components, and finished components.
  • Formulate and lead regular process audits to verify systemic compliance with regulatory policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify, isolate, and issue corrective actions for out-of-specification paperwork, materials, or items that compromise customer specification.
  • Collaborate with operations staff to verify manufacturing or testing defects.
  • Train and educate assembly workers on basic compliance practices and quality manual guidelines.
  • Plans, validates compliance, and stages product and documentation for customer acceptance.
  • Perform data transactions on findings and support operations in root cause/corrective action activities as needed.
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and support resolution of quality and compliance risks that may impact schedule or product acceptance.
  • Participate in daily production meetings to engage, maintain awareness, and communicate impacts to product compliance or quality concerns.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between Customer, Quality, and Operations regarding customer acceptance, documentation, and compliance matters.
  • Facilitate and execute assigned internal audits in accordance with AS9100, customer, and government contract requirements.
  • Provide reports and metrics to management as required, including assigned KPI support.
  • Review and validate manufacturing documentation, inspection records, certifications, and traceability packages for completeness and compliance.
  • Support customer acceptance and final release activities through accurate documentation review and controlled execution of quality processes.
  • Maintain accurate system transactions and records within company ERP and quality management systems.

  • Working knowledge of quality systems, process control principles, and manufacturing documentation practices.
  • Ability to work independently and within team-based environments.
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP/MRP systems.

Knowledge

  • Understanding of aerospace, manufacturing, or regulated production environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality system requirements preferred.
  • Understanding of inspection processes, documentation control, traceability, and nonconformance practices preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing workflows, product verification, and customer acceptance activities preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts preferred.

Experience

  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, inspection, compliance, or production support environment preferred.
  • Aerospace, defense, medical device, or other highly regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Experience performing data entry, transactional processing, or documentation review within business systems preferred.
  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, or compliance activities preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Be able to lift at least 25 lbs. Ability to be forklift certified.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work within active manufacturing and production environments.
