Job Description:
The Aerospace Assembly & MRO Technician III is a senior-level technical expert responsible for diagnosing complex component failures, performing advanced repairs and overhauls, ensuring first-time quality, and mentoring lower-level technicians. This role serves as a technical resource within the department and contributes to process development and operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electromechanical failures to the component level.
  • Perform advanced repairs, overhauls, modifications, and testing with minimal or no supervision.
  • Interpret and apply technical orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct quality inspections to verify compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor, train, and develop Technician I and II personnel.
  • Review work output to ensure first-time quality and technical accuracy.
  • Coordinate activities across production, engineering, quality, and operations teams.
  • Assist in developing, revising, and improving work instructions and MRO procedures.
  • Lead technical troubleshooting efforts and support corrective action investigations.
  • Support customer audits, process audits, and internal quality initiatives
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Knowledge & Skills

  • 5 years of aerospace assembly, overhaul, repair, maintenance, manufacturing, military aviation, or related technical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently perform advanced troubleshooting and overhaul activities.
  • Experience training and mentoring other technicians preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and aerospace systems.
  • Expert ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and technical orders.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Leadership and mentoring capability.
  • Ability to make independent technical decisions within established procedures.
Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
  • Ability to wear required PPE.
Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school, associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent experience preferred.
Work Eligibility (ITAR): This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident or persons with protected status.
