Job Description:
The CNC Machine & Facility Maintenance Technician (Maintenance Technician) is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day activities involving the effective maintenance of CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment, as well as the TSA facility itself.
Our ideal candidate has at least two years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and has formal training in the use of CNC controls, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical trades.
The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the TSA General Manager and indirectly to the corporate Maintenance Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain equipment including CNC machine tools, overhead cranes, plant air systems, lighting, HVAC systems, etc.
- Troubleshoot various electrical and mechanical issues.
- Assess machine faults and failures, recommend and implement improvements.
- Establish comprehensive Preventative Maintenance plans for all machines and equipment.
- Ensure proper inventory and supply levels are maintained for routine maintenance items.
- Other duties as assigned by site leadership.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent, vocational education or trade school preferred.
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Formal training of industrial blueprint/drawing reading and interpretation.
· Understanding of industrial safety laws, codes, and practices.
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical ladder logic diagrams and electrical schematics.
· Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
· Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
· Self-motivating, results driven with great attendance, and a positive attitude.
· Mechanically inclined with great analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Must be able to work with minimal supervision while demonstrating the ability to take initiative and perform with an appropriate sense of urgency.
· Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
· Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) experience a plus.
· Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience a plus.
· Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
· Able to stand, kneel, bend, stretch, push, pull, and move for extended periods as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery and equipment.
· Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
· Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the production facility.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
