Job Description:
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling aerospace components and subassemblies in accordance with company procedures, work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality requirements. This position uses hand tools, fixtures, measuring devices, and inspection equipment to perform assembly operations while maintaining compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assemble aerospace components and subassemblies according to established work instructions and specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and basic measuring equipment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Perform visual inspections to verify product quality and workmanship.
  • Identify and report nonconforming parts, materials, equipment, or processes.
  • Accurately complete required production, inspection, and quality documentation.
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support inventory control and material handling activities as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings.
  • Work overtime, including occasional weekends, as required to meet production schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Knowledge – Skills

  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
  • Understanding of basic manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing environments is preferred but not required.
Experience

  • 2 years of previous manufacturing, assembly, mechanical, or technical experience
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
  • Ability to use hand tools and perform repetitive assembly tasks.
  • Ability to visually inspect small components and assemblies.
Work Eligibility (ITAR): This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident or persons with protected status.
