Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its growing accounting team. This individual will take ownership of the accounts receivable function while partnering closely with leadership to support day-to-day accounting operations and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, cash application, collections, and account reconciliations.
• Monitor customer aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies while maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Prepare AR-related journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support financial reporting by maintaining accurate data and assisting with KPI tracking.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency within the accounting function.
• Cross-train in other accounting responsibilities to provide backup support as needed.
• Partner with the Controller and other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.

Qualifications

• 3 years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience.
• Experience managing the full AR cycle.
• Manufacturing industry experience required.
• Ability to prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working within an ERP or accounting system.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work independently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
