SUMMARY:
Under direction of the Department Director or Designee, this position is responsible for supervising staff and completing evaluations to ensure caseload coverage related to assessments and treatment. Assists in ensuring that effective and appropriate services are provided to the Court, and to its clientele per funding/accreditation standards, and contributes to program development and service enhancement within the Court system.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•    Staff Supervision & Training: Identifying and assigning work, communicate operational goals and expectations, conduct performance reviews, provide training, and implement corrective actions. Supervise and train staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of specialized assessments.
•    Direct Service & Caseload Management: Provide psycho-diagnostic evaluations, treatment, crisis intervention and other direct services as needed to ensure caseload coverage.
•    Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate case records and statistical data.
•    Quality Assurance & Compliance: Conduct audits, assesses service needs, monitor service delivery, and develop quality improvement plans to maintain compliance with funding and accreditation standards.
•    Program Development & Consultation: Contribute to strategic planning, develop new programs, serve as a consultant on research projects, represents the Court on committees and boards as assigned.
•    Policy & Procedure Implementation: Implement and ensure staff adherence to Court, Clinic, outside agencies and relevant standards, policies, and procedures. Assists with the identification and evaluation of needs and the development and implementation of policies, procedures and programs, making recommendations as appropriate
•    Community Collaboration: Coordinate with community professionals and provide families with referrals to appropriate resources.
•    Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
•    Ph.D. in Psychology; fully licensed psychologist in the State of Michigan.
•    Current Michigan Licensed Psychologist (LP) in good standing.
•    Five (5) years of experience providing psycho-diagnostic assessments and/or mediation services of both children and adults.
•    Experience with supervision and/or program coordination.
•    Proficient using MS Office Suite and relevant software and systems.
•    If an employee drives on behalf of the Court, the employee must possess and maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license, no fault insurance and access to a vehicle to use in the performance of assigned duties.

•    Expertise in psychological testing and assessment.
•    Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations.
•    Knowledge of community resources and Court procedures.
•    Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
•    Ability to work with a diverse population.
•    Ability to work with individuals under duress.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•    Standard office environment with potential for field assignments.
•    Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

 

Additional Requirements:
•    Successful completion of criminal and IV-D background check, fingerprinting and rechecks.
•    Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Grant funded positions are contingent on availability of grant funding and may be terminated should funding substantially reduce or cease. The affected employee may be considered as a candidate for other vacant positions within the Court for which they are qualified.
