The Human Resource Intern will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintains accurate and uptodate human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- Maintains HR team calendar and scheduling.
- Assists with new hire onboarding processes.
- Prepares paperwork, folders, schedules, and facilitates smooth new hire onboarding processes with different departments.
- Assists with creating, implementing, and maintaining Team Member communications.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organizationwide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and celebrations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Exhibits and practices the Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a fastpaced HR environment.
- Two years of administrative assistant experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 100% Office Setting, including sitting, some bending, walking, and viewing.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
