As a Branch Manager, you will oversee the daily operations and overall success of the branch by delivering an exceptional customer experience and leading a knowledgeable, engaged team. You will build strong relationships within the community and with individual and small business customers, while ensuring operational excellence, risk management, and adherence to bank policies and procedures. While this role is not fully sales-driven, experience identifying customer needs and supporting responsible growth is a plus. You will engage customers in meaningful conversations, coach your team to do the same, and help align products, services, and technology solutions with what matters most to each customer—making banking with Bank straightforward and hassle-free. Job Overview: The Branch Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, including supervision of staff, customer service, and ensuring compliance with all banking regulations. You will foster a positive environment, develop strategies for growth, and work to enhance productivity while achieving sales targets. This hands-on role requires a dedicated leader to maintain smooth daily operations, build a strong team, and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities and Duties: Leadership and Culture: Create a culture that demonstrates our passion for serving customers while leading by example and motivating your team. Branch Operations: Ensure that all operational, administrative, and compliance functions within the branch are properly executed on a daily basis. Security and Compliance: Oversee the branch's security procedures, ensuring they are followed when opening and closing the branch. Staff Management: Prepare work schedules, assign duties, and ensure efficient operations through effective management of branch personnel. Audits and Reporting: Conduct monthly branch audits to ensure compliance with standard procedures and practices. Prepare and submit reports on operational functions as needed. Cash Management: Verify incoming and outgoing cash shipments and control the money supply on hand to meet daily needs. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with branch personnel to discuss operational issues, implement changes, and promote continuous improvement. Universal Banker Duties: Perform Universal Banker duties and maintain comprehensive knowledge of bank products and services. Sales and Growth: Assess local market conditions, identify sales opportunities, and create forecasts and business plans to meet financial objectives. Customer Focus: Identify customer needs and initiate solutions to meet and exceed expectations. Training and Development: Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to branch personnel to foster their development and enhance team performance. Problem Resolution: Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly and effectively. Networking and Community Engagement: Build the branch's presence in the community by participating in local events and networking opportunities to enhance brand reputation. Supervisory Responsibilities: Handle annual performance appraisals for branch staff and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Retail Officer Qualifications: 2-5 years of proven experience in branch management or a similar leadership role in the banking industry. Strong knowledge of bank products, policies, and procedures. General knowledge of various banking operations. Results-driven, customer-focused approach to managing branch performance. Ability to address and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with customers and team members effectively, both in-person, over the phone, and in writing. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and lead a diverse team. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Analytical, organizational, and time management skills to address challenges and achieve branch goals. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Notary certification (a plus). Extra bonus: Experience with Alkami.
