JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must be able to follow
instructions (both verbal & written), fluent in advanced print reading with
limited information, work individually and in a team setting.
• Must be able to work independently with little or no direct
supervision.
• Troubleshoot and Repair assigned work.
• Update work order information in Aurora.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• Perform as a team member which requires the ability to
learn, perform and rotate to other workstations.
• Perform job duties within acceptable quality, quantity,
performance, and safety standards Assembly or installation of various truck
body parts
• Mechanically inclined and skilled with
hand, air, and power tools
• Must be detail oriented and very
meticulous about your work
• Obtain supplies and parts required to do
the job
• Assist other employees when assembly
work is not required
• Clean department and maintain neatness
in the surrounding work areas
• Assist the team in 5S advancements
• Assist in the implementation of Lean
Principles
•
2-3 years proven work experience as an Auto Electrician
• Formal schooling and training on automotive electrical systems and
electronics preferred
• auto electrical qualification certificate preferred
• Excellent attendance
• Positive attitude
• Strong and consistent attention to detail
• Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
• Team oriented
• Basic computer skills are required
• Experience using schematics, electrical diagnostic equipment, and applicable
computer equipment
• Knowledge of basic automotive wiring theory and application
• Cab electrical experience preferred

Diagnose and solve complex electrical problems
•
Installing new vehicle wiring systems
• Install missing components as needed
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting
• Eliminate any potential defects based on write-ups and self-inspection
• Assist with major reworks and projects
• Document and report electrical defects to Quality
• Lead resolution of electrical defects and reworks
• Interact with Electrical Engineering on current manufacturing issues
• Maintain electrical documentation for shop floor applications
• Perform function tests
• Lead quality, cost, and productivity improvement efforts
• Support manufacturing and OEM service
• Learn and retain skills and practices needed to complete duties in assigned
area
• Read and follow detailed operator instructions, installation drawings,
blueprints, etcetera, as required by a particular area
• Perform rework, as needed
• Self-check work and inspect prior processes
• Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as required
• Meet production goals
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Initiate process improvements
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Accumulate tools and equipment
required to perform assigned tasks
• Stand or crouch in position for long periods
• Work in confined spaces
• Work overtime on short notice
• Learn and rotate within all assembly areas
• Improve self / area / company (including pursuing additional training, if
needed)
• Develop a working knowledge of
company’s systems (example: AS/400)
• Train coworkers
