JOB SUMMARY:
A Sales Coordinator is responsible for supporting the sales team, managing schedules, processing orders, and ensuring company and customer satisfaction. This role is crucial for ensuring that the sales team operates efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Reports to: Vice President, Business Development
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the Technical Sales Team by managing schedules, filing important documents, and communicating relevant information to ensure smooth operations.
- Process sales orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring that company and customer requirements are met and orders are accurate.
- Maintain records by ensuring estimates, purchase orders and other sales documents are placed in appropriate areas and traceable so that they may be readily retrievable.
- Work closely with other areas of company such as Project Management, Engineering and Accounting, to align sales efforts with other departmental efforts.
- Assist in gathering of predicted material, labor, and subcontractor costs.
- Assist Technical Sales members with estimates to include product research and price gathering.
- Assist in the analyzation of specifications, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts as required.
- Assist in the calculation of estimates utilizing the company pricing tool as required.
- Confer with employees in other departments such as engineering, production and project management for exchange of technical information.
- Assist in obtaining cost data and product information from vendors and subcontractors as required.
- Assist in the resolution of sales related issues.
- Assist the Technical Sales Manager with other related duties as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Excellent computer skills with the capability of learning latest programs/interfaces as needed, such as Acumatica, Microsoft Word, Excel, Fishbowl, Smartsheet and Salesforce.
- Ability to prioritize and possess time management skills.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and volume.
- Must be able to analyze specifications and read blueprints/drawings.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Strong planning, troubleshooting and critical thinking skills required.
- Must be organized and possess an ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and people skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associates or BS degree preferred, but experience considered.
- Estimating and/or sales experience a plus
- Telecommunication or data center systems knowledge is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (including but not limited to):
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facility to determine needs.
- Able to lift/carry 15 lbs.
