- Ensuring production equipment is set up and maintained to produce quality Ziegenfelder treats ready for delivery to customers.
- Preparing and configuring machinery for scheduled production runs.
- Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronics (PLC’s), and hydraulic systems and providing immediate corrective maintenance support to production lines, conveyor belts, and ancillary production equipment.
- Checking and maintaining proper fluid levels in various pieces of equipment.
- Performing overhauls of existing production equipment.
- Completing daily checks of the ammonia refrigeration, boiler, and air systems.
- Inspecting and repairing various facility items as directed by your manager.
- Installing new production equipment.
- Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Complying with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
- This position is responsible for the food safety of our products.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance ideally in a food environment
- 5 years of experience in a Maintenance Technician role, preferably in the food manufacturing environment or equivalent/relevant experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment highly preferred or equivalent/relevant experience.
- 2 years of experience as a machinist.
- Experience working with ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
- Ability to motivate in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidate must be flexible in working any shift available for this position.
- Standing up to 8 hours per day.
- Moving and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Bending, twisting, reaching and grasping actions.
- Good spatial awareness working around manufacturing equipment.
- Subject to cold temperatures of less than 32F for more than one hour with proper protection equipment.
- May be subject to noise above 85 decibels with proper protection equipment.
- Working Conditions

- $29.61 - $35.05 per hour, depending on experience.
- Nights or afternoons (four days per week)
