York Water is seeking a Field Representative to support our Customer Service and Meter Reading operations through hands-on work in the field. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, being outdoors, and providing direct service to customers in the community.

What You’ll Do:
As a Field Representative, you will:
- Prepare and post delinquent notices, complete shut-offs and turn-ons for non-payment, and assist in collection efforts.
- Read meters, respond to field orders, and investigate customer complaints related to service, leaks, or meter issues.
- Prepare documentation for service applications, complaint responses, payment agreements, and regulatory compliance.
- Respond to service-related emails and maintain accurate customer records.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of the Company’s tariff and PA PUC rules and regulations.
- Navigate York County roadways efficiently and locate service addresses using maps and company tools.
- Provide professional, courteous service in all customer interactions—whether in the office or in the field.
What We’re Looking For:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior field, utility, or outdoor work experience preferred
- Customer-facing experience is a plus
Communication Skills:
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication.
- Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to learn and work with customer service systems, mapping tools, and handheld field equipment.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and utility billing is helpful.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license required.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and manage daily routes efficiently
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Basic technical aptitude with handheld devices and mapping systems
- Professional and courteous communication with customers in the field
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain
- Comfortable performing physically active work, including walking, bending, twisting, and lifting.
