Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a lively environment, with experience in food and beverage service. The role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with guests, and ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons. Knowledge of POS systems such as Square, along with strong time management skills, are essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere, taking orders and providing recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and adherence to safety policies
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service, catering, or banquet events when required
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations during busy periods while maintaining excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, retail math, and drink calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly and understanding of liquor laws, including BASSET certification
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
