What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sparrow Bartender position at The Wurzak Hotel Group?
Wurzak Hotel Group is looking for an engaged and experienced Bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience at their trendy rooftop bar Sparrow within The Dalmar Hotel in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
The Bartender sets up, prepares and serves beverages and breaks down bars in safe and efficient compliance with Company policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state and local regulations. Processes guest checks and payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card and room charge processing and accounting policies and procedures. Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management. Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations to management.
The ideal candidate is friendly, optimistic, detail-oriented, has an outgoing personality, enjoys working with people and working on a team; has a proven passion and ability to anticipate and exceed our guests' needs; has knowledge of food and beverage operations; can comprehend and deliver service standards; excels at guest and team member relations and etiquette; and comprehends to importance of complying with applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.

General Requirements
- Greet guests
- Take beverage orders from the restaurant servers or directly from guests
- Mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards
- Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests
- Prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies
- Serve food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions
- Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of glasses as needed
- Provide guidance to guests on hotel activities, dining options, and general hotel and regional information
- Other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED required
- Three years prior bartending experience required
- Highvolume hospitality experience required
- Excellent oral communication skills required
- Positive interpersonal skills required
- State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card
- Ability and flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
