What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager position at The Worksphere?
About Client
Our client is a fast-growing, privately owned residential home services platform launching a flagship operation in Phoenix with an ambitious mandate to scale across the broader Southwest. Led by a 30-year industry operator, the company combines battle-tested playbooks with a nimble, no-politics culture. With zero private equity or outside investors, decisions are made quickly, operators are empowered to act, and long-term value creation is prioritized over short-term optics. The environment is entrepreneurial, execution-focused, and built for leaders who want to build something real, own a meaningful piece of it, and grow into top-tier executive roles as the platform scales to $100M and beyond.
Job Description
The General Manager (GM) – pathway to Chief Operating Officer (COO) – will launch, lead, and scale a residential home services platform from approximately $5M to $15M in Arizona, then replicate and expand the model across the Southwest region (Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado). This role has full P&L responsibility, broad operational authority, and a clear, merit-based path to the COO seat overseeing the entire portfolio as it grows to $100M . You will build the team, install systems and infrastructure, drive aggressive but sustainable growth, and lead regional expansion via organic growth and acquisitions. This opportunity is ideal for a proven operator who thrives in “build mode,” is comfortable in startup-phase ambiguity, and wants to transition from running a single business to leading an entire multi-location platform.
