Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Lead Weekend Nurse to oversee patient care and clinical operations during weekend shifts. This pivotal role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient care delivery. As the Lead Weekend Nurse, you will oversee patient care, and uphold compliance with healthcare regulations during weekend shifts.
Duties
- Supervise and support nursing staff during weekend shifts, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and physical examinations.
- Administer medications, injections, and oversee aid care for resident ADL's.
- Oversee documentation of medical records using an EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Manage emergency situations or critical care interventions as needed
- Ensure adherence to nursing policies, residential care facility regulations, and facility standards while overseeing the care team.
Qualifications
- Valid Nursing license with current state licensure
- Proven leadership skills with supervising or nurse management experience in a healthcare environment
- Proficiency with EMR systems to ensure accurate medical documentation
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), and healthcare regulations including HIPAA and long-term care standards
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, and those requiring specialized dementia or memory care
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care and team communication
