Position Summary
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while ensuring efficient hotel operations. This position serves as the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a welcoming and professional experience from check-in to check-out. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently.
- Handle reservations, room assignments, modifications, and cancellations.
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, rates, and local attractions.
- Assist guests with requests, concerns, and complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Process payments, authorize credit cards, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments regarding guest needs and room status.
- Follow hotel policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain guest confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel management, front desk operations, or guest services within a resort or hotel environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of hospitality management principles and customer service excellence.
- Familiarity with night audit procedures, multi-line phone systems, and phone etiquette is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail for financial audits and record keeping.
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high levels of professionalism and hospitality standards.
