Position Overview
The Marketing & Development Support Team Member will provide essential on-site support to both the Marketing & Communications Director and the Development Director. This is a hands-on, mission-driven role ideal for a detail-oriented and creative individual who is passionate about supporting the growth of The Willows through excellent marketing, donor stewardship, and administrative support.
This individual should be a student of Christian Science and a member of The Mother Church, bringing a spirit of love, professionalism, and excellence to all aspects of the work.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Support
• Assist with the design, layout, and production of marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, newsletters, event programs, social media graphics).
• Maintain and update The Willows’ website and social media channels, ensuring consistent messaging and branding.
• Support the planning, promotion, and execution of marketing campaigns and resident/community events.
• Coordinate with vendors for printing, photography, and other marketing services.
• Help track marketing metrics and compile reports on campaign performance.
Development & Donor Stewardship
• Co-manage the donor database with the Development Director, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Input gifts and pledges promptly and accurately; generate donor acknowledgments and thank-you letters.
• Support fulfillment of donor stewardship activities, including mailings, reports, and personalized donor touches.
• Assist with prospect research and donor pipeline tracking.
• Prepare donor lists, pledge summaries, and reports for leadership and board meetings.
• Coordinate logistics for donor events, receptions, and campaign-related gatherings.
• Assist in the planning and execution of donor engagement events, meetings, and stewardship activities.
• Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns, including online and offline strategies.
Administrative & Team Support
• Maintain organized electronic and physical files related to marketing and development efforts.
• Track project deadlines, help manage calendars, and schedule meetings for the Marketing & Communications Director and Development Director.
• Provide general administrative support, including proofreading, data entry, and creating presentations.
• Serve as an on-site point of contact for vendors, residents, and visitors when marketing/development staff are off-site.
• Support cross-departmental communication to ensure alignment between marketing, development, and operations.
Qualifications
• Devoted to the study and application of Christian Science; lives according to The Willows Community Standards
• Member of The Mother Church and/or active Christian Science branch church member
• 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, development, or nonprofit administration (preferred).
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Gmail); experience with donor databases (Bloomerang, & Qgiv preferred, or willingness to learn).
• Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Schedule & Compensation
• Full-time, on-site position (Monday–Friday).
