Host / Hostess – Gabriel Archer Tavern
The Williamsburg Winery is seeking a warm, polished, and guest-focused Host/Hostess to join our team at the Gabriel Archer Tavern. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, this role is essential in creating a welcoming, seamless, and memorable dining experience.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, enjoys engaging with guests, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests with professionalism and warmth, creating a positive first impression
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and table flow to ensure efficient and timely seating
- Communicate clearly with guests and restaurant staff to maintain a smooth dining experience
- Escort guests to tables, provide menus, and offer helpful guidance when appropriate
- Answer incoming calls and assist with general winery and dining inquiries
- Support opening and closing duties, including light cleaning, stocking, and side work
- Collaborate with team members across departments to maintain a high standard of service
