Position Summary:
The Gabriel Archer Tavern is seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Dishwasher to support our fast-paced, full-service restaurant. This role is essential to maintaining cleanliness, organization, and overall kitchen efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Scrape, rinse, and load dishes, glassware, and utensils into dish machine
- Wash and properly sanitize all kitchen equipment, including pots, pans, and utensils
- Maintain and clean dishwashing equipment, ensuring proper operation at all times
- Unload and organize clean items into designated storage areas
- Empty trash and recycling regularly and maintain waste areas
- Keep dish area and kitchen floors clean, safe, and organized (including sweeping and mopping)
- Clean and sanitize food prep stations and kitchen equipment as needed
- Assist with additional cleaning and support tasks as directed by kitchen leadership
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable with repetitive physical tasks including bending, reaching, and stooping
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
