Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a CNC Machinist/Programmer based in Bristol, VA. The CNC Machinist/Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC vertical mills to produce precision parts in a high-mix, low volume environment. Daily tasks include: interpreting shop drawings for their particular milling features, working under the direction and assistance of the shop supervisor, working with the QC inspector on each job to ensure parts meet tolerance from first piece to final inspection.
Qualifications
5 years CNC programming
- using CAM as well as written G-code
- Experience with Micrometers, Calipers, and other gages
- Knowledge of operating and maintaining Machinery
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- CNC mill programming with Fanuc, Haas, and Fadal
- Familiarity with safety protocols in a machining environment
- High school diploma/GED required as well as a valid driver’s license
