Job Summary
In need of a part-time Manufacturing/Production Support team member to assist in a machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will be capable of loading/unloading parts on CNC lathes and/or CNC mills. The particular parts/jobs will be repetitive. Experience operating CNC or similar metalworking equipment is a plus, but not required for the right candidate. The choice candidate will have physical dexterity and mechanical aptitude. Being trainable in a manufacturing environment is key to this position as well as future growth, if desired. Position could develop to full-time.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC turning and milling centers (programming & setup by staff)
- Perform routine inspections of parts after completed cycle(s)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and productivity
- Work under the direction of the shop supervisor as production needs may change day to day
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge, general measuring tool familiarity (tape, scale)
- Experience operating forklifts, hand tools, and power tools is desirable
- Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly support roles will be considered an asset
