GENERAL SUMMARY:
District Wharf Properties, LLC is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join its accounting team. The Accounting Assistant will support the accounting team and DC office for The District Wharf (“The Wharf”) a 3.2M SF mixed-use project on the Potomac River with retail, multifamily, office, hotel, maritime and entertainment uses.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support month-end close for entities across The Wharf portfolio.
- Perform bank reconciliations across numerous bank accounts.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Duties may include uploading and coding payables and preparing monthly invoices.
- Deposit checks across numerous bank accounts.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting team.
- Support the operations of the DC office. Duties may include managing office supplies, greeting visitors, and performing ad hoc tasks as needed.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring timely and accurate distribution and processing.
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- A degree or experience in a professional work environment preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills, and ability to manage workload independently.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be in the Washington, DC area. This position is required to be in-office at The Wharf 4-5 days per week.

COMPENSATION: $60-65k
