  • Compensation – We support transparency, equity, and fairness in our compensation programs and provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range, based on data-driven market analysis, for each job posting. While it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role in Washington, DC (Headquarters) is $77,600/year - $104,610/year. Team members may also be eligible for performance-based discretionary awards.
  • Work Location – Staff will be assigned to the Washington, DC (Headquarters) office.
  • Generous paid time off – Up to 6 weeks annually, in addition to 12 federal holidays, and 2 floating holidays and a year-end break December 28 – 31, 2026.

Position Summary

The PCAOB has a full-time position for an Executive Assistant at its Washington, DC headquarters in support of a Board Member and/or the Chairman and their staff. The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing high-level administrative and operational support and maintaining the offices of the Board Member’s and/or the Chairman’s group. This role requires a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and has the ability to plan, organize work, and develop procedures to meet the unique requirements of an executive Office. The Executive Assistant manages a broad range of executive-level responsibilities, including scheduling, correspondence, stakeholder engagement, and logistical coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain complex calendars, ensuring strategic prioritization of meetings, conferences, travel, commitments, and deliverables.
  • Serve as primary liaison for the Board Members and their staff.
  • Drafts correspondence for Board member review and approval.
  • Coordinates executive communication, including calls, responding to email and interfacing with constituents and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Coordinates and plans for Board members, meetings and events with global senior leaders, including, but not limited to: preparing all meeting logistics; maintaining and tracking internal and external correspondence, travel, and preferences; event management, including evaluating site options and ensuring appropriate security, technology, and other technical support; and ensuring appropriate food and beverage arrangements and onsite support consistent with organizational policies.
  • Prepares internal and external Board documents and correspondence.
  • Conserves Board Members’ time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications.
  • Acts as the point of contact between the Board Members and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on project to successful completion often with deadline pressure.
  • Edits and completes first drafts for written communications to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works closely and effectively with each Board Member to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Acts as a "barometer," having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keeping the Board Members updated.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an executive level administrative role, with 7-10 years of experience preferred
  • Uphold a strict level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Highly motivated professional capable of managing their workload while prioritizing and managing competing priorities.
  • Sets and maintains a professional example at all times.
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Copilot, Word, Excel (including PivotTables and VLOOKUP), PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Ability to organize and manage large amounts of data, files, tasks, schedules, and information.
  • Ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (typing, grammar, spelling, punctuation, proofreading skills, etc.).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
