Description
The Barista / Coffee Shop Attendant enhances the guest experience by preparing and serving specialty coffee drinks, offering exceptional customer service, and promoting merchandise in the gift shop. This role plays a key part in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, driving sales, and upholding operational standards.
How You'll Shape The Experience & Future
- Greet guests and provide information about available food, beverages, merchandise, and hotel amenities.
- Prepare specialty coffee drinks following established recipes and operate coffee shop equipment safely and correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the coffee shop, including equipment, displays, and floors, according to SOPs.
- Restock and refresh merchandise and food displays to ensure an inviting presentation.
- Open and close the coffee shop on time, following proper setup and closing procedures.
- Process all sales through the Micros system, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to accounting procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels, communicate restocking needs, and assist management with ordering.
- Secure all cash and deposits per hotel and company policies.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- Other duties as asssigned.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a busy café environment.
- Attention to detail in beverage preparation, merchandising, and cash handling.
- Reliability and punctuality in opening/closing procedures.
- Proactive approach to cleanliness, presentation, and inventory management.
- 3-6 months of related café or barista experience preferred.
- Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
