Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams responsible for mechanical systems repair, electrical systems troubleshooting, HVAC system repair, plumbing maintenance, and industrial equipment servicing.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations such as OSHA standards.
- Manage facilities management programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule, track, and optimize maintenance activities.
- Oversee the inspection and repair of mechanical systems, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), HVAC units, plumbing systems, and other critical infrastructure components.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by conducting regular safety audits, training team members on OSHA standards, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Coordinate project management activities for facility upgrades or new installations involving schematics interpretation, engineering troubleshooting, and managing contractors.
- Monitor maintenance performance metrics to improve efficiency while reducing downtime; utilize tools like Ohmmeters and schematics for diagnostics.
- Lead efforts in managing facilities maintenance management strategies that enhance operational reliability while adhering to safety protocols.
- Foster a team-oriented environment by supervising staff development initiatives, managing schedules, and promoting best practices in industrial maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams within manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in mechanical systems repair, HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, electrical systems troubleshooting (including high voltage/low voltage), and industrial equipment servicing.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and experience implementing safety procedures across facilities operations.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Experience with CMMS software for scheduling and tracking maintenance activities.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams related to electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing layouts, and mechanical equipment.
- Excellent leadership skills with Supervising experience in managing teams effectively; capable of motivating staff toward high performance standards.
- Knowledge of electrical experience including working with high voltage and low voltage systems; familiarity with Ohmmeters for diagnostics is preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills combined with an understanding of manufacturing processes to ensure continuous operation of plant machinery.
- Effective communication skills in English to coordinate across departments and document technical issues clearly.
