Job Summary:
The Westin Washington, D.C. City Center is seeking a reliable, skilled, and service-oriented Engineer to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and associates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and exterior of the property
- Troubleshoot and repair issues in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and carpentry
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies with a professional and guest-focused attitude
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to ensure operational efficiency and safety
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks as assigned
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe, clean, and working condition
- Collaborate with other departments to minimize disruptions and maintain a high standard of guest satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and building codes
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications a plus
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a hotel, commercial, or residential maintenance role
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work on ladders, and perform physical tasks as needed
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
