We are currently looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Estimator with experience in heavy-civil, highway construction, and renewable energy markets to join our family of dedicated, hard-working professionals.

- Provide and coordinate full estimating services for heavy‑civil and heavy‑highway construction projects ranging from $1M to $20M.
- Review customer contracts to confirm accurate scope, terms, and conditions.
- Analyze and compile cost data—including labor, materials, equipment, logistics, and site‑specific factors—to develop accurate, high‑quality estimates.
- Evaluate alternative construction methods and value‑engineering opportunities to increase bid competitiveness.
- Manage and monitor costs to maintain or improve target margins.
- Research upcoming projects and assist in developing and maintaining customer relationships.
- Attend pre‑bid meetings and required site visits.
- Present estimates and participate in executive bid reviews with senior management to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and review quantity takeoffs to verify accuracy of all data used in estimates.
- Ensure adherence to The Wesson Group’s quality standards and standard operating procedures while supporting continuous personal development.
- Support bid and pre‑construction scoping activities.
- Solicit, review, and coordinate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure complete coverage of all scopes of work.
- Work with Project Managers and relevant staff to prepare statements of qualifications.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, contractors, engineers, and suppliers to develop accurate, competitive estimates.
- Draft detailed proposals outlining project requirements, approach, and pricing structure.
- Work with the estimating team to develop competitive and successful bids.
- Communicate bid results and key estimating information to field operations during budget transfer and pre‑construction meetings to ensure full understanding of scope and critical construction methods.
- Maintains a positive, can-do attitude, approaches challenges with practical solutions, and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting rigorous deadlines
- Shows resourcefulness and creativity in problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering, with 3–5 years of experience in highway, utility infrastructure, and/or renewable energy projects preferred.
- Three positive references from whom you’ve worked in the last 3-5 years.
- OSHA 30 Certificate and related training required
- Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and/or AGTEK preferred.
