About The Wesley
The Wesley is a newly renovated boutique hotel in the heart of Page, minutes from Lake Powell, Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. Formerly the Lake Powell Canyon Inn, it reopened under new ownership with brand-new rooms, The View Suite, and a pool deck with a hot tub, barrel sauna and cold plunge. We're a small, close team, and the rooms are the product. When a guest opens the door, your work is the first thing they see.
The Role
Our cleaners turn our rooms from checkout to "wow" every day. The rooms are new, so they clean faster than you'd expect. But we hold a high bar. Every room is inspected, and quality counts as much as speed.
How Pay Works
- $10 for every checkout room you turn that passes our quality inspection.
- A cleaner who does two rooms an hour to standard earns about $20/hr. Most new cleaners start slower and speed up within a few weeks, and the new rooms help.
- You always earn at least Arizona minimum wage for every hour you work. You clock in and out, and if your room pay for the week ever comes out under minimum wage for your hours, we top it up.
- If a room doesn't pass inspection, you'll fix the items that were missed before it counts. That's how we keep the standard high and fair for everyone.
What You'll Do
- Clean and reset every checkout room to our standard: beds, bathrooms, floors, dusting, amenities, trash, and the final check against our room checklist
- Stock your cart at the start of every shift (linens, amenities, supplies) so you never leave a room mid-clean
- Document anything broken, missing or damaged for maintenance (a photo and a quick note), and bring questions to the head of housekeeping
- Work with the laundry team to keep clean linens moving, and keep storage areas organized
- Help keep hallways, the lobby, the courtyard and the pool deck guest-ready on busy days
- Mark rooms clean and ready on your phone (we'll show you how)
- Finish your shift strong: check in with the front desk on early check-ins and late checkouts so priority rooms get turned first, then restock your cart for tomorrow
- Follow our lost-and-found and guest-privacy procedures
What We're Looking For
- Takes pride in a room done right, and notices the small stuff
- Reliable: shows up on time for the shifts you sign up for
- Works well alone and as part of a small team
- Comfortable using a simple app on your phone
- Able to be on your feet for a full shift, bend, kneel, and lift up to 30 lbs
- Lives in or near Page, with reliable transportation
- Hotel, motel or vacation-rental cleaning experience is a plus. We'll train the right person.
Schedule
- Part time only: 1 to 4 shifts a week, mostly mornings and early afternoons (usually 5 to 6 hours, around 9am to 3pm), scheduled around that day's checkouts
- Weekends and holidays are our busiest days, so we ask everyone to take a share of them
- Hours flex with the season: fuller from spring through fall, lighter in winter. We want you to know that going in.
