Job Overview
The Way Parent's Day Out and Preschool is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team! We are looking for someone who has a genuine love for young children, a passion for early childhood education, and a heart for sharing the love of Jesus with our students each day.
As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom where toddlers can grow socially, emotionally, physically, academically, and spiritually.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate, hands-on learning activities.
- Foster a warm, loving, and positive classroom environment.
- Teach foundational academic, social, and life skills through play and intentional instruction.
- Introduce children to Christian values such as kindness, compassion, respect, honesty, forgiveness, and love.
- Lead children in simple daily prayers, Bible stories, worship songs, and faith-based conversations appropriate for their age.
- Build positive relationships with children and their families.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
- Observe and document children's developmental progress.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's day and development.
- Follow all program policies and state health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with administration and fellow teachers to create an exceptional preschool experience.
Qualifications
- Experience working with toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required (CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred).
- Passion for teaching young children and helping them thrive.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Dependable, patient, positive, and team-oriented.
- Must pass required background checks.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
