Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold health and safety standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning items for service.
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods by bussing tables and clearing plates to maintain cleanliness and flow.
- Help with cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and ensuring the kitchen area remains tidy throughout shifts.
- Follow food handling protocols to ensure proper storage and prevent cross-contamination.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of catering events or banquet functions as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences while maintaining a positive attitude.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy trays or containers.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards.
