Job Summary
The Staff Accountant has a broad-based list of duties, including daily transactional processing, account reconciliations; and supporting the month and year-end closing processes.
What You’ll Do…
- Maintain company cash records, including bank account reconciliations.
- Maintain GL account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts. This includes investigating and resolving reconciling items in a timely fashion.
- Prepare and post journal entries on assigned accounting areas, mainly in cash, payables & payroll.
- Support accounts payable and procurement teams in review of daily transactions.
- Identify and propose process improvements & support the implementation of on-going process improvement initiatives where applicable.
- Miscellaneous accounting projects and tasks as needed, including support of annual audit.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring…
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 2 years of accounting experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Task oriented with attention to detail.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience in accounting, preferably in a mid-size to large business - preferred.
- Mid-Level knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookup functions) - preferred.
- Working knowledge of data gathering, sorting, filtering, etc… from ERP systems - preferred.
- Experience with integrated ERP Systems for input and management of business transactions - preferred.
